Publications Manager Cviog Duties
SUMMARY
The primary responsiblity of the Publications Manager of the
Carl Vinson Institute of Government is to oversee
publication and communication programs for the Institute.
Work also includes overseeing the website and intranet of
the CVIOG as well as supervising staff within the division.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Directs publications program, including scheduling editing,
production, and distribution of books, textbooks, and
related marketing materials, and development of new
materials.
Directs public relations and media relations program,
assigning and reviewing news stories and development and
implementation of other public relations plans for
individuals initiatives and the CVIOG as a whole.
Oversees the organization's website and intranet, including
development, organization, design, and maintenance, ensuring
that it supports public relations and service goals.
Oversees development and maintenance of websites for
contract customers.
Supervises staff, including hiring, performance evaluations,
development and implementation of work plans, coaching and
mentoring. Performs other administrative duties as assigned.
Oversee budget and financial/business activities for the
division.
Edit and develop special projects such as special intiative
reports and presentations.
Oversee development of exhibits and other special materials
such as posters.

Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively.
Ability to form positive working relationships among staff
members within the division and the CVIOG.
