SUMMARY

A person allocated to this line of work is expected to book conferences as well as book & coordinate non-conference events including wedding receptions. An employee would also sell & promote the Georgia Center through reactive sales & business exhibits.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Receive incoming calls for event inquiries;

Coordinate & conduct site visits;

Book conferences;

Book & coordinate non-conference events from creation to closing;

Complete conference proposals upon request;

Promote Center by attending trade shows and mailing letters & sales packets.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Four year college degree or Associate's degree plus experience in meeting planning and/or sales.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Excellent customer service/public relations skills;

Effective communication skills;

Accounting and data base management helpful.
