Grants Coordinator Duties
SUMMARY
Grant management work with primary responsibilities being to
serve as a liaison between a college, school or center and the
Office for Sponsored Programs and to assist the faculty in their
area with proposal preparation and processing and award
administration. May function in a working professional level
position in the Office for Sponsored Programs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Serves in a college, school or center as a liaison with Office
for Sponsored Programs;
Responsible for award management (financial and administrative)
and is involved from pre-award stages through termination of
contract or grant to include tracking the stages of the process
and preparing status updates for the faculty;
Processes and reviews all proposal applications; researches
funding opportunities.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Completion of a Bachelor's degree (preferred) or a combination
of education and experience with grant management, preferably in
an educational institution.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Extensive knowledge of the methods, procedures, and techniques
used in grant preparation, coordination, and implementation.
Ability to participate in the evaluation and analyses of
existing techniques and procedures and to assist in devising new
techniques.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working
relationships with university personnel, State and Federal
agencies, and private organizations.
Ability to communicate ideas effectively, orally and in writing. |
