Facilities Inventory Analyst Duties
SUMMARY
This is drafting and administrative work in assisting in the
maintenance of a space and facilities inventory of university
owned buildings and rooms.
An employee allocated to this class of work is responsible for
assisting in the maintenance of computerized perpetual inventory
reports. Work is performed under general supervision of an
administrative superior and is subject to periodic review.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Collects and edits physical inventory data for use in a
computerized inventory.
Assists in the maintenance of a blueprint and specification
library for university facilities.
Examines and measures university facilities to determine square
footage.
Updates building location maps.
Compiles data for special reports.
Assists university departments in numbering and re-numbering
facilities.
Maintains inventory records and files.
Prepares scale drawings of university facilities.
Performs related work as required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Graduation from a standard high school or vocational school and
some experience related to this class of work; or any equivalent
combination of training and experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Some knowledge of space utilization practices and physical
inventory procedures.
Knowledge of building construction and drafting.
Ability to prepare drawings and sketches to scale.
Ability to read blueprints and other building schematics.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working
relationships with faculty, staff and other employees.
