Parking Services Supervisor Duties
SUMMARY
This is responsible supervisory work directing the patrol of
campus parking areas.
Work involves the responsibility for assigning and supervising
personnel engaged in parking area patrol. Independent judgment
must be exercised in interpreting orders and parking rules and
regulations. Assignments are received from the Department
Manager and are carried out under established procedures. Work
is reviewed through conference, inspection, and observation of
results obtained.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises and trains personnel engaged in patrolling parking
areas.
Assigns patrol areas to subordinates.
Assists in registering vehicles on campus.
Prepares necessary records and reports.
Patrols parking areas.
Writes and issues parking violations.
Interprets parking rules and regulations for subordinates.
Assumes the duties of the Department Manager in the absence of
the Manager.
Performs related work as required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Graduation from a standard high school supplemented by the
completion of some college work; responsible work experience
including supervisory experience; or any equivalent combination
of training and experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Considerable knowledge of parking rules and regulations.
Considerable knowledge of university properties, parking areas,
and traffic flow.
Ability to plan, assign, and supervise the work and training of
subordinates.
Ability to deal with the public firmly and courteously.
