Sales Manager Duties
A person in this line of work is responsible for generating
business for the Georgia Center as well as promoting the Georgia
Center and its mission to both UGA and non-UGA potential
clients. An employee would also be responsible for booking
conference & non-conference events.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Act as lead sales person for select accounts;
Develop sales strategy for sales office;
Manage account budget and supervise staff;
Make cold calls to potential, and follow-up calls to existing
Coordinate & conduct site visits;
Promote/represent Center at trade shows, SGMP and GSAE ;
Bring leads to sales staff;
Participate in special initiatives.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Four year college degree; experience in meeting planning and/or
sales and supervision.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Outstanding sales and customer service skills;
Considerable knowledge of logistics involved with meetings and
