SUMMARY

A person allocated to this class of work performs advanced level monitoring, controlling and analyzing work in the operations of a computer console and related peripheral equipment. Work includes analyzing potential problems and taking corrective action, reviewing priorities in order to ensure production schedules are met, and maintaining systems scheduler logs and records regarding output units and supply inventories.



DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Researches anomalies and intermittent problem occurences.

Performs duties of other technicians as necessary.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent and three (3) years of experience and technical training in operating related computer equipment.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Considerable knowledge and experience in the operation of large-scale electronic computers and their auxiliary equipment.
