Clinical Resident-Pharmacy Duties
SUMMARY
This is professional work in the residency program of the
College of Pharmacy. Work involves the performance of a wide
variety of planned clinical oriented functions and learning
experiences with program emphasis on developing clinical
proficiency. Work is performed under direction of the Medical
Residency Committee and is reviewed through oral examination,
case record audits, consultation with other staff members, and
direct observation of the resident's performance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Participates in the daily activities of the pharmacy.
Provides assistance with evening and weekend medical
emergencies.
Studies pertinent literature.
Participates in the activities of the pharmacy programs.
Reviews cases of patients with special problems and prepares
case reports.
Participates in histopathology conferences.
Performs related work as required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Graduation from a recognized school or college of pharmacy and
completion of an internship program or equivalent.
Possession of a license to practice pharmacy in the State of
Georgia.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Considerable knowledge of the concepts and practices of
pharmacy.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations
with faculty and staff. |
