Facilities Analyst Duties
SUMMARY
This is administrative and technical work in assisting in the
maintenance and operations of spaces and facilities of
university-owned buildings and rooms.
An employee allocated to this class of work is responsible for
the operation of computerized maintenance management systems and
inventory oversight. Work is performed under general supervision
of an administrative superior and is subject to periodic review.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees the receipt, processing, and data entry of
maintenance/repair requests (work orders) through the automated
work order system and radio.
Liaisons between various University maintenance organizations
and departments.
Collects and edits physical inventory data for use in a
computerized inventory.
Assists in the maintenance of a blueprint and specification
library for university facilities.
Examines and measures university facilities to determine square
footage.
Updates building maps and drawings.
Compiles data for special reports.
Maintains inventory records and files.
Operates various building monitoring equipment and software
involving HVAC and fire alarm systems.
Oversees the key management control program.
Participates in facilities assessments, asbestos management,
preventive maintenance, and other management control programs.
Supervises student office assistant(s) as necessary to complete
tasks.
Performs related work as required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Graduation from a standard high school or vocational school and
considerable experience related to this class of work; or any
equivalent combination of training and experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Working knowledge of facilities maintenance and operations.
Strong computer skills to operate various technical computer
systems.
Some knowledge of space utilization practices and physical
inventory procedures.
Knowledge of building construction and drafting.
Ability to read blueprints and other building schematics.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working
relationships with faculty, staff, and students. |
